  • Quotes

    • Uma: The quality I'm most grateful for: the willingness to reinjure myself. Hope trumps experience. So I keep trying.

    • Uma: I'd like more children. I asked the doctor, she said there's still time. I still have the sippy cups.

    • Uma: (revealing she's considering being a stay-at-home mom and not getting married) I love acting. Truly, it is the first love of my life. But I am thinking of becoming a stay-at-home mother. I'm not getting married. For any human, a partner that you trust is invaluable and the partners that I trust most are my children.

    • Uma: It's better to have someone who cheats than someone who doesn't flush the toilet.

    • Uma: (on ex-husband Ethan Hawke) I cannot participate in anything critical about my children's father. I just need to keep peace. I think it's fair to say I haven't said one mean thing, and I'm not going to start now. It's terrible for my family.

    • Uma: I spent the first fourteen years of my life convinced that my looks were hideous. Adolescence is painful for everyone, I know, but mine was plain weird.

    • Uma: I was not particularly bright, I wasn't very athletic, I was a little too tall, odd, funny looking, I was just really weird as a kid.

    • Uma: Buddhism has had a major effect on who I am and how I think about the world. What I have learned is that I like all religions, but only parts of them.

    • Uma: I roast all kinds of poor animals. I feel guilty about it, but I'm a big roaster.

    • Uma: My ambitions have been raised as I have less to lose. I feel I could do anything and if people don't like it, then I'll go on to try something else. You see your friends go up and down the ladder, but it's such a temporal way to look at things. If you're a slave to the fame game then it's a really ugly universe. That's not my mission - and I feel fantastic.

  • She is great

    9.0
She is an amazing actress. Her supporting acting in Pulp Fiction was hypnotising. She is beautiful, not conventionaly beautiful but still... just heartbreakingly gorgeous. Everybody says she is ugly, but i find her attractive. She is excellent in KILL BILL the emotion she portrays is excellent.

She further showed her talent and beauty in KILL BILL vol 2, this time she explored her "bride" character even more. Another great movie of hers is Gattaca, she was good in that too. In "My Super Ex Girlfriend" a crappy movie but still she was great in it. She is a great actress, one of my personal favorites.moreless
