Biography:

Uzo Aduba is a New York actress and singer. In 2003 while a senior at Boston University College of Fine Arts, her performance in Translations of Xhosa at the Kennedy Center earned her a Helen Hayes award nomination for Best supporting actress in a play. In 2007, Uzo made her Broadway debut as Toby in Corum Boy. From November 2011 through June 2012, Uzo wason Broadway as part of the emsemble in the Original Revival Cast of Godspell at The Circle in The Square. She has been a featured vocalist at the White House and at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Uzo was a special guest on the 2012 season of Project Runway All-Stars and made her first television appearance in a 2012 episode of Blue Bloods.
