Valerie Singleton

In October 2008, Valerie was present at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Blue Peter that Queen Elizabeth held at Buckingham Palace. Valerie's co-hosts John Noakes and Peter Purves were also in attendance, they were joined by other presenters of the show from the history of the program.

Valerie had a fling with her Blue Peter co-host Peter Purves while they were both working on the show. She has called the situation "more a friendship thing than anything else".
