Van: (on acting) I would do little school plays when I was a kid. I did this thing with a theater company where I was a gargoyle, and I really liked it. It was like, the smallest part. I was four, maybe, in this really small town in Massachusetts. It was something I really liked doing and my parents were very encouraging of whatever their kids wanted to do. Then they enrolled me in some acting classes.
Van: (on his ATWT's character) It's a delicate balance, because you can't completely ignore the fact that Luke's gay, but if every story was about Luke being gay, then that would kind of make him a poster child and not really a full, well-rounded character.
Van: (on meeting actress Judith Light) I was excited to meet Judith Light because she went to my college, and I have some friends who know her and have said really, really great things about her. And she was an awesome lady.
