Vanessa: (on performing at parties put on by members of the underworld) It was absolutely amazing. They had a room in the (Crown) casino all done up. I remember during the show thinking no one will get up and dance and if I start singin' bad I'm just gonna get shot.

They're the only clients who want you to eat and give you wine and are constantly catering and looking after you. I'm not used to this in showbiz.
