Veronica was born in 1943 in Philadelphia. She graduated from Temple University around 1965, and lovely Veronica Hamel started her career as a fashion model. She also modeled for cosmetic ads.
Veronica was married to Michael Irving from 1971-1981.
She started appearing on TV in 1975; at one point she was considered for one of the lead roles of the trio of crime-fighters on "Charlie's Angels," but declined the role.
Veronica has appeared in many movies and had many guest appearances on TV shows, but is probably best remembered for playing Joyce
I used to watch Hill Street Blues all the time growing up. It was one of my favorite shows! Then one day (I was about 12) I saw a picture of Veronica in the TV Guide with her first and last name. I pointed it out to my father and said "Look Dad, she has the same last name as us and it's even spelled the same" My father then said that that was because she is our cousin (cousin to my father) and that he has not seen her in years. How exciting that was! I hope to meet her one day just to get to know another part of my family history. Keep up the good work Veronica!
