Vince Vaughn

Vince: (revealing why he doesn't believe in polygamy) It's triple the headaches. Triple the nagging. Triple the question, 'What are you thinking?' You have to pick out three sets of blinds.

Vince: Supernanny has come in handy... I do a little Super-Uncle-Nanny thing with the kids.

Vince: Whenever you're scared of something, don't let that define you. We all feel it, but step up.

Vince: I don't like the glamorous nights so much. I usually leave depressed and I don't know why. Maybe it's the forced politeness. I like the local bar with money in the jukebox and a pretty girl next to me.

Vince: Both of my parents worked for a living, so I know what it's like to have real pressure and real problems. Real pressure is having to feed my kids, 'How am I going to make the mortgage?' I benefited from having grandparents who were farmers and immigrants. So I was never like, 'Oh, this is so hard.' You're on a bus going to make people laugh.

Vince: My father's name is Vernon and my mom liked the initials double-V, so she named my sisters Victoria and Valerie. That's cool, except when the dogs start getting V names.

Vince: (After saying he would never find a woman he would want to be the mother of his children) I don't run away from the responsibility of having a family, but I've never been to the point where I've felt like, 'Wow, this makes sense.'

Vince: If you go out with someone famous, you'll get a certain level of attention around you but it was never something I focused on. And ultimately I do the best I can - I make my movies, and that's all you really can do. I've never done a lot of magazine covers. I don't go to a lot of premieres. I don't really cultivate that. For me I've always made the best movies I can make and then just walked away.

Vince: I think too many people look at the arts with a religious outlook. Arts, music, singing and performing, it's all make-believe.

Vince: The best thing as an actor, the best tool you have is your imagination. That you kind of take things that have happened, and then go and expand on them. However small it is, you use your imagination to create what that reality is. There's something kind of fun when you're not old enough to do anything, driving a car, getting into a bar, drinking, going to a party you don't belong to, something when you're young in that innocent way.

Vince: I'm into the PlayStation now… I recently got into these solve-a-mystery games. They're like a bad drug. They just chuck two weeks out of your life.

Vince: I don't like going to the gym, getting on a treadmill, and putting on my Discman. That's not my idea of a good time. I like hiking or going outside for a half hour. I like being healthy. But I don't like the gym.

Vince: (on needing to put on weight for the movie The Break Up): I had quit smoking a pack of cigarettes a day just in time to put on 11 kg.

Vince: (About his co-star and girlfriend Jenifer Aniston) She's so easy to be around, and I think you just have so much respect for her because she's just so fair with everybody. I needed someone who was a good dramatic actress and the other thing that Jennifer is, what see is what you get.
