Vince was a long time resident of Brooklyn, New York.

A section of 16th Avenue between Cropsey Avenue and Shore Parkway in the Bensonhurst district of Brooklyn, New York where he lived until his passing, was renamed Vincent Gardenia BLVD. in his memory.
