Vonzell Solomon

During the 2nd week on the Top 12 of American Idol (Season 4), she changed her nickname from Baby V to Lady V because she turned 21 years old.

She watched American Idol since the 1st season.

Vonzell is currently 5'8".

In high school, she played basketball and softball.

She doesn't watch too much TV.

She originally auditioned for Season 2 of American Idol, but didn't make it past the first phase of auditions.

When Vonzell performed When You Tell Me That You Love Me on American Idol, judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul gave her a standing ovation and Randy said it was a perfect vocal.

Vonzell is a third-degree black belt and has studied martial arts for most of her life.

She has a pet dog named "Buster." He's a pit bull.

Her favorite subject in school is Language Arts and her worst subject in school is Chemistry.

Vonzell loves Minnie Mouse.

Her favorite movie is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

The day she was eliminated on "American Idol," she sang "Chain of Fools" after she found out she made 3rd place. She also sang that song the day before she was eliminated.

If she won "American Idol" so would have thanked God, her parents, family, friends, and her coworkers from the Tice branch post office.

She thought that the audition process for "American Idol" was fair.

The toughest obstacle in her life so far was making it into the music industry.

Her lucky charm is her angle ornament from her church that was prayed over and blessed for her by her church.

"American Idol" has changed her life because it has gained her confidence.

She thinks that people would be surprised that she like country, classical, and some rock music.

Her favorite judge on "American Idol" is Randy because she thinks he's cute and cool.

Her definition of an American Idol is a person that's a role model for young people and an inspiration for all. A superstar on and off stage.

If she couldn't sing, she would like to be an artist and paint beautiful pictures.

The proudest moment in her life so far was making it to 3rd place on "American Idol."

Her most embarrassing moment was when she was at a softball game and she tripped over second base trying to catch a pop fly.

Her favorite male pop artist is Usher. Her favorite female pop artist is Beyonce.

Every time before she performed on "American Idol," she prayed and danced.

Her friends would be surprised that she owns Shania Twian's album.

Because she didn't make it on "American Idol," she is continuing to pursue her dream.

Her formal singing training is classical for about 4 years.

Her goals in life are to sing and be successful, and to be a good role model.

Besides singing, Vonzell enjoys martial arts, sports, and softball.

She first started to sing when she was 10 years old.

She was eliminated after she sang "I'll Never Love This Wat Again," "On the Radio," and "Chain of Fools."

She made third on American Idol season 4, and she has black hair. She was eliminated on May 15, 2005.
