Walter Matthau served during World War II in the U.S. Air Force. Studying at the Dramatic Workshop in New York, he found his niche. He got his start on stage and soon he was appearing on television on anthology programs in the 1950's. He starred in the television…more

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, Americans Odd Couple, playing in so many movies together Grumpy Old Men, Grumpier Old Men, Out To Sea, Odd Couple, and odd couple 2. Walter Matthau also played in movies without Jack Lemmon like Dennis The Menace where he played Mr. Wilson. He had a good life and is one of the funnest actors of all time.
