Born in London in 1965, this working class Tottenham lad hated drama in school and wanted to be a professional dancer.
This all changed when his drama teacher asked him to cover for someone in a play. After that he never looked back.
After parts in the drama series Casualty, London's Burning and The Bill, Wil played the part of DC Skelton alongside Robbie Coltrane in Cracker
When the part did not develop as was intended by producer Paul Abott (Clocking Off, Shameless), he promised Wil to keep him in mind for future projects.

Wil was then asked to audition for the role of Steve Robinson in Clocking Off (at that time called The Factory)
It was only halfway though the series that Wil discovered that Paul Abott had written his part with him in mind.
Wil then went on to star in Burried Treasure with the late John Thaw and BBC drama series Babyfather
The audition for the role of DS, later DI, Spencer Jordan in the award winning series Waking the Dead came off the back of his role in Clocking Off.
Next to the the small screen, Wil has also starred on the silver screen in movies like South West 9, Emotional Backgammon and the award winning Adulthood.
In the theatre Wil played in c plays like Othello and A Midsummer Night Dream. Recently Wil starred on the stage in Celia, Torn and Wild Turkey
Wil has been honoured with the Screen Nation Awards (Favourite TV/Personality Actor 2006) and the MVSA

Wil is married with children and lives in London
