Was a social outcast throughout high school and "couldn't get a date to save my life". He had a horrible relationship with his parents, claiming he hates them. His childhood ambition was to be a marine biologist but joined acting in hope of getting people to like him. But at the age of 19, he was making major money but felt miserable and even contemplated suicide. "You get to a point where you have one of two choices. You either put a gun to your head or you pray," said Aames. Nowadays, he is married and has two children.
