Yeardley has a very distinct voice, where if you heard her voice in a cartoon, you would easily be able to tell it was her {especially if you watch simpsons, she voices lisa}. This can be both good and bad, because at times i can see some people thinking her voice is annoying. personally i think she has a very distinct voice, i have never heard of anyone with that kind of voice and i think it works wonders for her personally. I think she should be on more TV rather than just the simpsons. Overall, a pretty decent actress
Yeardley Smith was born July 3, 1964 in Paris, France. As a child, she was made fun because of her name and often was nicknamed "Yard Weed", "Yardstick", and "YardBird". Her name is pronounced "Yard-lee" and not "Yeerd-lee". Yeardley is also the youngest cast member on The Simpsons. In 1990, she married British actor Christopher Grove. In 1992, they filed for divorce. Though born in France, she was raised in Washington, D.C. In 2002, she married her second husband Daniel Erickson. She was discoverd when she was in a musical play called Peter Pan playing Tinkerbell. Yeardley is also the only one out of two actresses(other one is Marcia Wallace) to voice one character on The Simpsons. I think Yeardley plays Lisa Simpson very well. I hope she can be voicing for many more seasons.

Back in the day, this would have been a 10/10! But sadly, the show has been declining. They just didn't know when to pull out. The show peaked during the late 90s, but since 2000 it has been on a downhill slope getting worse with every season. The plots are dull and don't seem to go anywhere filled with awful jokes.
The jokes themselves are no longer original, but rather just follow the formula of older jokes and are written poorly. The voicework is still good, its just annoying seeing the same old jokes over and over. Homer is fat, Bart is dumb, Moe suicidal etc. Nothing is original anymore. And the wit is no longer there either.
The show was good in its prime, but it has taken a huge fall. The movie coming out doesn't help anything.
Yeardley Smith, better known for playing Lisa Simpson, an Intelligent 8 year old with an I.Q over 160 (?), from the simpsons, is a great voice actor. She also stars in famous films like Jingle All the Way and Maximum Overdrive. (Even better, she can sing!)

lisa is my favoirte charcter in the show instead of bart and homer and ill tell you why its because she sticks to her beliefs so that is why yearldy smith is my favoirite simpsons voice over because she may only do one simpsons voice but by far she does the best charcter
From her role on hermans head, to the voice of Lisa Simpson and her guest star as Penny in Dead like me, I find that Yeardly has amazing talent that shows with each role she plays. She can handle her roles with such apparent ease and grace it overshadows the others in the show she is in. Besides being so pretty she has the talent to continue for years to come
