Eleven-year-old Zach Maurer came to ABC as Nathan, the shy genius and youngest child in a family with two other siblings. Zach, who wanted to act since age three, had parts in plays as early as kindergarten. By age seven he started acting classes at Raleigh Little Theatre in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Zach's first full-length play was The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at age eight. Soon after he played one of Fagin's gang in Oliver at his local high school.
He has worked on several national commercials and had a role in the feature film Urban Shock, with director David Roundtree. He has also appeared on television in Without a Trace, Days of Our Lives and It's All Relative.
Zach enjoys playing Scrabble, creating with Legos, and loves Lord of the Rings. He lives with his family in Los Angeles.
