In 2008, David checked into a rehab center for a sex adiciton. David: When I saw my white ass on the screen I saw I should have spray-tanned and maybe waxed. (edit) David: (on what sort of green things he does for the environment) I poop in the backyard. Well, we recycle. We have solar energy. I drive an electric car. I wear disposable diapers. I don't know. That's a lot. We try to set an example. Unfortunately, you have to have the means to be green. That's what has to change in this world. It should be cheaper to be green. I can afford to put solar energy in and I can afford to drive an electric car because I can also have a gas car if I need to drive more than eighty miles in a day. So that's too bad. (edit) David: (on sex scenes) You always hear actors say that it’s not sexy – and it isn’t, really, and can be embarrassing and uptight. Tea understands. We’ve both been on both sides of that issue. (edit) David: (on why he was drawn to playing Hank Moody) It was more of an adult style, ‘70s-movie type comedy rather than what you see in movies today. It was adults acting badly, but like bad adults rather than bad children. It’s so much fun to be able to play a guy who really doesn’t care what anybody thinks about him. (edit) David: (on playing Mulder again in another X-Files movie) I always wanted it to be a movie franchise. I never wanted to kill the character and leave the character behind, but I was tired of the grind of a television show. I thought it was a natural for movies. (edit)
