Tom was voted #4 on an online poll by TV Guide for the healthiest and most physically fit star on television. (edit) At the CW launch Tom joked that he was a much better golfer than Jensen Ackles. Jensen joked back by saying Tom should start wearing tights and nicknamed him "Tommy-tights." (edit) Tom is good friends with Jensen and Jared of the show Supernatural. One of his visits to their set ended up in an unofficial appearance of his on their show.

Tom: (about comparing himself to Clark Kent) We both have green eyes, we're both 6'3, we both have dark hair, but he has a few abilities that I don't have, though I do have a few of my own that he doesn't have. I think we're both relatively good natured people who like other people and want to see other people do well. (edit) Tom: The idea of a perfect vacation is not working or not having to work and having no appointments. (edit) Tom: You know one of the things about going from modeling to acting is it's so much more fulfilling. With modeling, you get your picture taken, which is great, good for you, you know? But in acting, you're able to reach in and show a little bit more of yourself. (edit) Tom: We were being interviewed, and they were asking Christopher about Superman, and what he would do, and Christopher was saying, 'Shush; he's not supposed to hear this yet! He doesn't know who this Superman is. Don't tell him.' (edit) Tom: What gives me the most satisfaction is watching the pilot, because we've come along so far--myself included. That always puts a smile on my face, because at the time I was really figuring it all out at once, but now we've all grown up a little bit: the production, myself, the scripts, the storylines. Everything! For me it's very entertaining to watch Clark. (edit)
