Jason Alexander was one of the stars of the award-winning television sitcom "Seinfeld." His character, the neurotic George Costanza, was based in part on the show's creator, Larry David. He has also appeared in a number of movies ("Love! Valour! Compassion!" among them) and done some work as a director, including a recent successful Hollywood concert version of the musical "Hair," for which he was also the emcee. He is also known for providing the voice of the lead character in the cult animated series "Duckman."
Jason began his acting career on the New York stage. He was… More awarded the 1989 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
He has also done a McDonalds commercial advertising the McDLT, a sandwich that separated the beef "hot side" from the rest of the hamburger "cool side." He has also appeared in KFC commercials, including one with baseball superstar Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants and another one opposite Trista Rehn of "The Bachelorette." He is also featured in country star Brad Paisley's music video "Celebrity."
In the fall of 2004, he began appearing in a new show on CBS, "Listen Up," costarring Malcolm-Jamal Warner. His character was based on sportswriter Tony Kornheiser.
Jason appeared with Kelsey Grammer in the musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." He played Jacob Marley to Grammer's Ebenezer Scrooge.
I think Jason Alexander may be the celebrity that I hate the most. He is so stupid in everything he does and he is just so unfunny
"VANDERLAY INDUSTRIES" Pretty good show they will make after reading this comment. This show would be about Krammer and George Constanza forming a companny named "Vanderlay industries" were they try to sell all of Krammer's idiotic inventions!
Well, I absolutely adore Jason and he is the first person I think of when I awake in the mornings. This man is my idol...I live in Sydney, Australia and may likely never even have the chance in my life to even ask for his autograph. I accept this but my heart even skips a beat when I see an picture… More of him and especially when I watch him as George in Seinfled. Jason's talent to me is unsurpassed.

This guy is so funny hide show
I love him in sienfeld as the pathetic, short, stocky, bald man that was Jerrys best friend. He alwways did something to make me laugh. Whether it be pick a fight with a buble boy, Pretend to be a marine biologist to get a girl, or push and knock down grandmas and children in order to get away from a simple kitchen fire. He is just so funny in that show. If it wasn't for him ( and kramer of course) the show wouldn't be half as good as it is today. I just think he was perfect for the role of the self loathing losser who had no reason to get up in the morning beside read the paper.
He is one of the best actors ever! The way that he manages to put up the character of George Constanza is simply awesome, the way that he acts and the way that he manages to do everything, I think that he is one of the best. Though, I must agree that his career has not been of the best after Seinfeld, I must admit that he has a lot of talent. He is an awesome actor!
Jason Alexander is definitely a great comedic actor, as he had proven on "Seinfeld" for years in his role as the goofy George Costanza. While his film career has been less than great, he always seems to pull off his roles perfectly--almost like he was born to play them.
A classic in Seinfeld hide show
One of the best Tv show characters, along with Matthew Perry to ever get on the old tube. Jason's main success started out on the show Seinfeld, where he played the out of control character, George. He starred in other shows but he never made it as big as he did on Seinfeld
Gorgeous George is the greatest character in sit-com history! Jason Alexander is a fantastic actor who shouldn't be just thought of as George Costanza. hide show
In the Curb of Enthusiasm Larry David and Jason Alexander talk about how George has affected Jason's life. There are some positive effects like: he got a lot of money, he got noticed, but there were also negatives effects. Jason is now only really known as George. People always want to see him act a character like George, the stupid, schmuck. But, we all know he can play more then just that role. We have all seen him in Pretty Woman were he acted a totally different character and he did great! So, from now on don't think of Jason as George think of him as a great actor.
