Martha Raye made her debut on stage at the ripe old age of three. Her larger than life personna endeared her to audiences and soon she became part of an act with her brother called "Margie and Bud". Martha was so multi-talented that she was the vocalist for the Paul Ash and Boris Morros Orchestras. She sang, she danced, she acted and she made everyone laugh. Martha made her film debut in the 1934 film A Nite in the Nite Club and was soon signed by Paramount. She appeared with many comedy legends in film, W.C. Fields, Charlie Chaplin, Jimmy Durante, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. In 1954 she starred in her own TV show The Martha Raye Show which ran for 2 years. She appeared in over one hundred television programs from drama to comedy to talk-variety show. One of her most popular appearances was as the spokesperson for the "Polident" TV commercials of the 70's and the 80's.
