Pete and wife Ashlee Simpson lied about spending their honeymoon in the basement of their house. Pete said they did this to avoid photographers, as well as save thirty grand. In actuality, they honeymooned in the Caribbean. (edit) Pete credits wife Ashlee Simpson and therapy sessions to ending his depression. (edit) Pete married longtime girlfriend Ashlee Simpson in an intimate ceremony at the Simpson family home in Los Angeles on May 17, 2008. The wedding had an "Alice In Wonderland" theme. (edit) Pete got engaged to girlfriend Ashlee Simpson in April 2008. The pair had been dating a year prior to the engagement. (edit) In February 2008 it was revealed Pete was opening a beauty parlour which would have a punk theme. The unisex hairdressing salon is to be called The Clandestine Industries Salon and will be opened in the Clandestine Industries landmark store. (edit)

Pete: (following a Los Angeles earthquake in July 2008) Today I woke up to an earthquake, literally. It had me clutching my pillow like it was the mid-west. This s**t is crazy! And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital. (edit)
