Mandy Patinkin and Hector Elizondo cross over as their characters from Chicago Hope, also created by David E. Kelley. Later in the season, Fyvush Finkel appeared as Wambaugh in CH episode Small Sacrifices, defending an aggrieved patient, to the horror of the hospital staff.
