This special chronicles the pains and joys experienced by Dr. Addison Montgomery whilst working at Seattle Grace Hospital.

These 'special' [ed.?] episodes are never shown here in the UK but I always watch them and I don't know why. The main series always stands without them and they add nothing to the show. This piece of nothing-ness (or should that be a Mc.Nothing) is aimed at anyone who has never seen Grey's Anatomy and knows nothing of the 'trollop' who is Adison Shepherd. If they really need to air prequels like this then the main show will fail. They will, of course, go all through Adison's past in episode after episode in coming weeks so why bother with this you say ? Well - it's cheap to put together and it fills a bit of airtime and that's the best I can say about it.
It was to my surprise that the Network put a pilot of there new series Private Practise during the season of Grey's Anatomy. Ok Addison takes a break from Seattle to travel to California. But for a whole hour we meet completely new people that actually have no reason to be there. This is an episode of Grey's not a marketing strategy! As for the pilot itself too much happened at one time, yes elevators do talk to you! Come on your're a doctor! A very cute guy immediately hits on Addison and she has a break down. ABC we are not test animals please don't do this again!
