Private Practice opened up its second season with two strong offerings. This episode took a slight step back as we had a little too much "girl talk" and not enough medical drama. I liked the treadmill running from Addison and Pete, although there's no way she got up to 13.5. The husband of the pregnant woman also gave a strong performance, as did Pete when talking to the firefighter, but the majority of this episode was not up to the standards we have come to expect from the show.
The medical problems in this episode were just too farfetched. A cross-dresser, a big-headed child and a sociopath. The show did have a good moral behind it that you should feel happy about whatever you look like or whatever you wear. In that sense it was a good showing, but let's hope the next episode is better than this.
Everyone's mad or too busy to talk about their Issues. Sam continues to turn the practice into McService as a way to make money... hide show
This episode was interesting, but not the best of them all. It was interesting because it had some character development, which is always good. The plot and main characters in this one developed around the patients which was interesting but kinda strange. What I liked is that Swat way is back as well as Dell. And the wooing part of them both was fun to watch. The sociopath that was not was really unnecesary, but it served its purpose as it helped Violet face Sam and refuse to give up quality over quantity. We also got to see Addison doing surgery, which is her "place". A good one, but not the best.

This was an 'Okay' episode. I really can't say I enjoyed it as much as the previous one, or dare say that it was painful to watch. It had a decent storyline, some mentionable plot/character developments, and some good acting by the cast.
For one, I have noticed in the past few episodes, almost every one of them had started with a sex scene as an opening act. I am no moral brigade or the likes, and I have nothing against people making out before the camera. But still, this has become so cliche that it's nauseating. Especially the Cooper-Charlotte relationship should at least attempt to depict something other than the two screwing each other in every godforsaken scene. I liked the part where David Sutcliffe woos Addison, and I hope their relationship lends some variety to the show. A cop-doctor storyline has a lot of potential to be worked on. I have to admit, Violet's story this around was painful to watch. This one involving a sociopath who was not, and who was trying to save his mother from a spending spree was too cheesy. The sub-plots need to be worked on, and given its fair share of quality - like Grey's, where the attention to detail given to the most insignificant scene is so great. This episode also goes on to show Naomi's weaker side, and how she can be vulnerable too.
Overall, a good one - but not my favorite one.
