Teddy Wilson, who plays Jimmy Grady, will be seen again as Ernie Tyler in Rebel Without a Clue in season 3. (edit) This is the 2nd instance of Sam leaping into a Black man. It is also one of the several instances where Al is able to help Sam due to his personal experience; Al ran away from the orphanage in his youth, in this case learning how to play pool. (edit)

When Sam is singing at the piano with Violet he's wearing a clean white undershirt. But when he gets up to talk to Al the front of his undershirt is drenched with sweat. (edit)
