Brian tries to impress his new boss; Emmett inherits a large gift from George. hide show

To think, I actually thought Brian and Justin were going to go through with their plans and I was very excited to see their week together. But, nevertheless, that didn't happen. I don't hold it against Brian, the trying to save his job and all, its just the way he told Justin. He has come a long way from the Brian in the first episode of the show and he should have realized how excited Justin was. He could have at least given the boy a heads up. I also think Justin is more at fault than Brian is. Yes, Justin was upset and anyone would be...its just that he was mad that Brian wanted to pay for Justin's schooling, his loft, and the trip to Vermont. If I was Justin, I wouldn't have just flipped out on Brian like that. I would have gone on the trip alone, but I wouldn't have gotten so mad. I also really loved how Brian referred to himself as Justin's partner. I'm just waiting for Brian to say he loves Justin verbally...then I'll be happy.

For a first time watcher of the series, I feel like the show looses plot story lines way too quickly. We haven't heard anything about the murder for, what, three episodes? I sort of want to see the detective and Micheal's mom hit it off. Of course, this could all be leading into the season finale, but as of now...that's how I feel. The arc last season was Justin/the-jock-dude storyline. What is the arc this season? Is it the murder? It's not really clear.

Brian gets some surprising news regarding his job. Emmett finds out that George left him something when he died. Justin grows tired of waiting for Brian. Mel and Linze have problems in the bedroom. hide show

So Mel and Linze are having a problem finding time to make love, and Mel thinks it's because they are always too tired. However, when she sees Lita giving Linze a back massage, she confronts Lita and asks her to leave. Lita has been hitting on both Mel and Linze, and Mel and Linze admit to each other that they both think she's hot. They ask her not to leave and wind up having a three some. Perhaps that is just the spice they need to liven up their sex life, because i don't see either women leaving each other to run off with Lita. It would have been nice to see a little more of the scene besides the kissing, but i guess you can't get blood from a stone. Meanwhile, Emmett finds ten million dollars was deposited into his bank account. Thinking it was clearly a mistake he goes to the bank to straighten things out and finds out George left him this money. Emmett buys gifts for all his friends. He got Justin a trip to Italy with Brian, he got Brian the entire fall collection of Armani, Deb got a very beautiful bracelet, Ted got two lifetime seats to the opera, and Mike got his comic book store mortgage paid for the next five years. Emmett then gets served with papers saying that George's selfish family is contesting Emmett's inheritance. If they take everything away from him that will just be so wrong. I hate that family. They didn't care about George before, now they have to take away what little he had and cared about. While this is going on Justin plans on going away to Vermont with Brian to go snowboarding. When Brian's boss informs him that he has sold the company, Brian races to land an account that his new boss will be impressed with, before he gets fired. Brian goes after and lands the one account his new boss could never get. He slept with the secretary to get information on how to find Mr. Brown, which i thought was funny. However, apparently Mr. Brown consented to a two years commitment with the agency, but only on one condition, which we haven't figured out with. However, knowing Brian i'm sure it was a nice, thought out little plan that will undoubtedly work in Brian's favor, and good for him. He is such a smart man most of the time. Justin had stated how he is growing tired of waiting for Brian, and that he wants a boyfriend that sometimes gets jealous or wants to spend time with him. I'm sure we will be seeing Justin run to Ethen pretty quick. When Brian gets home he wants to announce the news to Justin, but he finds out from the boys at Babylon that Justin went ahead to Vermont alone. However, i bet we are going to find out that Ethen probably went with him or something. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

This really breaks my heart. hide show

So at the beginning, I was so happy to see that the two were going to go away together for a week to Vermont. But then, there are last minute changes that Brian has to fly to Chicago in order to save his job. Of course Brian needs to do what he needs to do in order not to get fired, but couldn't he at least show up and surprise Justin in Vermont or something. And to see Brian's disapointment when he comes home to an empty loft, wanting to share the exciting news with the love of his life, but he's gone. And if you really pay attention, you'll notice that he actually refers to himself as Justin's partner, something he hasn't done before. He's heartbroken when he learns that Justin left for Vermont, he doesn't even feel like telling any of his other friends about the big news. Justin is the only person he wants to tell, or at least, the person he wants to tell first, because that's how much Sunshine truly means to Brian. It breaks my heart. Another step closer to losing Sunshine.

And Brian and Justin break my heart... hide show

I was so thrilled when Brian said he wanted to go away with Justin for the week instead of just the weekend. And then my heart broke for the first time this season when Brian had to cancel due to business. I was a little ticked with him because he didn't give Justin advance notice. Just casually mentioned it as he's out the door to catch his plane. And then it broke a second time when Brian came home and found the loft empty. I could literally feel a pain in my heart when that happened. And then it broke a third and final time in this episode when he goes to Babylon all excited to tell his news only to find out that Justin went to Vermont anyway. The look on his face...it crushed me. And then he didn't share his information with anyone cause he couldn't share it with Justin. And yes, they broke my heart, however, I also want to hit Brian over the head because of how he's ensuring he's going to lost his Justin.

Sometimes I really just want to knock some sense into Brian... hide show

Sure, Brian makes a big gesture by inviting Justin to go away with him to Vermont for the entire week. But he fails to follow through. I completely understand the necessity to save his job and so I don't hold it against Brian for going to Chicago for a few days. But he could've rectified his mistake with Sunshine by showing up in Vermont later in the week. You know Justin would've instantly forgave him and saved him all the pain we know Brian goes through when Justin leaves him for Ethan. The part that really breaks my heart is when Brian comes home and says, 'Hey Sunshine. Come congratulate me. Your partner just made partner.' And Justin's no where to be found. This is the first time that Brian vocally admits that Justin is his boyfriend, his partner. But no one is there to witness it. And you can see Brian's disappointment when Michael, Emmett and Ted tell him that Justin went to Vermont alone. He has this great news to tell him, but his achievement is somewhat dampened because Justin isn't there to share it with him. Before Justin, Brian would've been running to Michael to tell him the news. But now, it's Justin whom Brian wants to share his accomplishments with, and that shows Brian's adoration for Justin. Brian doesn't even want to tell his friends one of his biggest successes without first telling Justin. Consequently, Brian just goes home alone. And suddenly his making partner probably doesn't seem as important as it once was. If Brian could just pull it together! Make a freaking romantic gesture!

Justin: I was thinking that we could go away just the two of us. Snow- boarding.
Brian: cool, except there's no snow.
Justin: in Vermont. Daphne was just there with her boyfriend. She said it was amazing. They stayed in this awesome place that was a converted farm house and every room had a fire place and a jacuzzi.
Brian: Did they have those little mints on the pillow?
Justin: I forgot, Brian Kinney doesn't do romance.
Brian: I don't need an excuse to f***.
Justin: You also don't need an excuse to turn me down. Why don't you just admit you don't wanna go away with me for the weekend?

    Justin: Are you serious?
Brian: You're off on spring break, I'm about to make partner which, I'd say, more than entitles me to a week of snow-boarding... and fucking your brains out.
    Justin: Really? []
  • Gardner Vance : Rumor has it that you're gay.
Brian : The rumor's right. But unless I'm fucking you, it's none of your business. []
