Quincy, Lee and Danny are all in Lake Tahoe together. Quincy is there for a forensic Pathologist convention and the others for a weekend break. While they are there the guests and staff start coming down with some kind of strange illness.
Quincy and a couple of other Forensic Pathologists are called in to help but when some of the patients start dying they still have no clue as to what is killing them. To make things worse the casino owner does not want to admit that anything is wrong, as it will affect his bookings and profits. Add a recap »

- In the scenes where the band is performing in the lounge, you can hear a (rhythm) guitar playing. However, if you look closely, both "guitarists" are actually playing bass guitars. edit »
- In watching this episode I figured out that it was most likely filmed in 2 separate hotels. One of those hotels is definately what is now the Hyatt Lake Tahoe Resort in Incline Village, NV. I could tell since I worked there back in 1988 and there were many scenes which kept me thinking this was filmed at the hotel prior to it becoming a Hyatt property. Prior to it being Hyatt it was the King's Inn. I also feel this was filmed at a Sheraton as well since there is one brief scene where paramedics are wheeling patients out of a guest room floor and into another room and you can see the Sheraton logo in reverse on one of the glass doors. Also, the Hyatt/King's Inn did not have a cabaret theater or a lower portion to the hotel. Since there are some scenes in a cabaret as well as people walking up from a downstairs scene I would assume that those were filmed at the Sheraton. edit »
- This episode probably was inspired by the Legionaire's scare that happened the previous year when several people attending an American Legion convention in January 1977 became sick due to a mysterious form of pneumonia. edit »
