A Bite to EatEpisode Number: 9 Season Num: 1 First Aired: Saturday August 7, 2004 Prod Code: 109 |
Haru, Elie, and Plue find a chariot being pulled by an unusual creature with a smaller creature named Griff as the driver. The group continues north where the blacksmith Musica believes the next Rave Stone may be. After finding a spot to camp for the night, Elie takes Plue with her to a natural hot spring located just moments away from where they set up camp. At the hot spring, Elie decides to twist Plue's nose-- and that deflates him! After trying many ways (which includes pumping with air, putting in the ground, filling with water, and many more) to bring Plue back to his normal state, he is still flat. Griff mentions that a special strawberry might be the only cure. Elie takes off by herself to find the berry, and while she is searching for the berry she is attacked by a monster. The monster threatens to eat her, and then Haru shows up just in time to save Elie! Plue is given the special strawberry and returns to his original state.

Manga vs. Anime
Trying to change Plue back to normal.
In the Manga, she tried to take Plue to a hospitial in Punk Street. In the anime, Elie tried to look for a special strawberry to make change Plue back to his original state. (edit) First appearance of Griff. In the Japanese version his name is Gato/Kato Griffon. (edit) It is revealed in the Japanese version and the manga that Griff is a pervert. He watches Elie bathing in the hot spring at least two times. (edit) Actually, It wasn't twisting Plue's nose that made him deflate, it was the extremely hot water in the springs! (edit) Tom Kenny does the voice of Griff. (edit)

Haru: So experiment is the capital.... great ,how big is it?
Griff: Uhh I'd say about this big.
Haru: We don't want to go there too small.
Griff: Okay this big.
Haru: Great! can't wait to go.
(edit) Elie: It would've taken two seconds to put on shoes but no! (edit) Elie: I'll go whip him up something good!
Griff: Oh no!, shes gonna whip Sir Plue, I gotta do somthing!
Haru: It's just an expression! (edit) Haru: What is that thing?!
Elie: Walking is good for the soles of the body but not for the soles of the feet so I figured that we needed a horse and carrige.
Haru: You better sit down. This may come as a shock but that isn't a horse! It looks more like an easter bunny is a high speed blender! (edit) Elie: Someone had an extra craky pill today! (edit)
