Those poor hamburgers were wasted in the explosion... hide show
Rhapsodia has five minutes of life left as Cyborg decides to self destruct it. Musica attempts to undo it, but Cyborg is constantly changing the codes. They have no choice but to find a way to escape. That's when Haru comes flying from the sky, half beaten. Elie tries patching him up, but ends up making a mummy out of him. They eventually cross paths with a Jet, which they enter. Sadly, it's past the weight limit, which forces Griffu to sacrifice his large batch of burgers and ketchup he found before entering the jet. Though even without that, it's still over the limit. They go anyways, and in the nick of time too. However, they're in the process of going down, which kind of ironically will send them up to heaven. Though good thing Musica has good connections with his own gang, the Silver Rythym group. They're safe for another day!
Meanwhile, the news of Shuyda's defeat spreads among the Demon Card organization. Back in headquarters, the strongest warriors were called up for a meeting concerning the Rave Master. There's one that wields a halberd sword similar to Haru's Ten Commandments, another that's a girl who seems to be self possessed, and the last the Element Master, Sieghart. The girl with green hair and Sieghart argue among themselves who will take care of Rave Master, but the king gets impatient and appoints Sieghart. He gets mad, as he claims he's already on an important task. Green haired girl is curious to know who that person is, and he says the only thing he knows about her is her number, 3173.
After being rescued, Haru and co. decide to rest for a while in the near by city. Haru glances at the giant sky scrapers that shadow the entire city in amazement. Elie on the other hand is getting lucky in her gambling at the Casino. In fact, she's so lucky, she was made a member of every Casino in the world! She decides to treat all her friends to a well deserved lunch with her earned money, but notices her card is missing. As the episode fades, we find Elie's card laying flat on the ground. The camera turns upside down, and her name makes out the numbers 3173.
This is one of the better episodes so far. It's filled with a ton of humour and mysterious. Elie maintains her consistent stupidity by wrapping Haru up like a mummy, which gave me a good laugh. And even though it doesn't sound all too great, Griffu and his hamburgers for some reason made me chuckle. Also, seeing the top members of the Demon Card having a meeting adds anticipation. One thing I love most about shounens is the build up for the coolness of its villains, and this episode does this really well. Sieghart, who we know through Elie's flashbacks, has been developed well in this episode, as well as the other sword guy that loves dragons. Though what took the cake is the connection between Elie's name and the number 3173. It seemed rather predictable from the start Elie was the one Sieghart is referring to, but that connection was just really interesting.
Being unable to stop the auto destruct countdown (with some strangely humorous female voice) Musica and crew board a little fighter craft to escape destruction. After dumping some extra weight, poor Griff loses his burgers, they take off but are sent plummeting into the earth as they brace themselves for a rough landing. Musica's Silver Rhythm Gang suddenly swoops in to rescue with the "Advent" airship. While this is happening, we are introduced to a bunch of bad guys and their boss "King". Sieg Hart, dude with the blue hair, is out to destroy experiment 3173...
