Dunbar and Paula have a love/hate relationship. One minute they're best friends and the next they're fighting like crazy. Meanwhile, Dunbar is growing more fond of Kimberly. The boredom in the house continues which leads to the girls giving the guys facials. They arrive at the next challenge which is "Dangle Duo." Each guy/girl pair must climb a rope ladder hanging several hundred feet over a cliff and then raise the flag once they reach the top. Since Mark and Rachel won last week they get to pick the order of how they will compete. The times and order goes as follows: Derek/Kimberly - 18.18, Dunbar/Paula - 12:08, MJ/Aneesa - DQ (Time ran out), Eric/Jenn - DQ (Time ran out), Evan/Diem - 10:29, Brad/Tori - 7:24, Landon/Brittini - 4:23 and Mark/Rachel - 4:34. With just 11 seconds quicker, Landon and Brittini win the challenge. Back at the house, Paula catches Kimberly and Dunbar making out in the bushes and wants to her to go home so she is not a distraction to her partner. The pick goes as Landon/Brittini-Mark-Rachel-Brad-Tori-Evan-Diem-MJ-Aneesa-Eric-Jenn-Dunbar-Paula leaving Derek and Kimberly. Derek chooses Eric and they pick "Duel Pole Dancing." "Duel Pole Dancing" involes climbing on opposite's side of a rock climbing pole first while trying to keep their opponent from winning. After a long and draining fight, Derek reaches the top first sending Eric home. Kimberly picks to against Jenn and they get "Push Over." "Push Over" involves using a mat to push your opponent off a raised platform. Jenn easily knocks Kimberly off the first two rounds sending her packing.
It's Brad and Big Easy's (Eric) Birthday and the house is ready to party it up. Diem and Ruthis setup a romantic room getaway for Brad and Tori (who are now engaged) complete with candles and flower pettles. While Isaac is passed out, Landon clips his toe nail in which he has been growing for 6 months. They arrive at the next challenge titles "Don't Let Go". In Guy/Girl pairs, the guy must hold the girl over a ledge the longest. Once he lets go, she will drop and wings several hundred feet over a river below. The winners will be safe from the Duel and win a T-Mobile G-1 w/ Google. Mark and Rachel take the win with a nearly 20 second lead over the seond place team. Tori wants to make a move that can change the game but Brad is worried and wants to stay lowkey for a little longer. Kimberly fears of going into the Duel because she is a rookie. The pick goes as Mark/Rachel-Landon-Brittini-Evan-Deim-Brad-Tori-MJ-Aneesa-Eric-Jenn-Derek-Kimberly-Dunbar-Paula leaving Isaac and Ruthie. Isaac chooses Landon and they get "Spot On". "Spot On" is a climbing wall with open holes that need to be filled with the puzzle pieces below. Landon being the superman he is easily beats Isaac sending him home. Ruthie chooses Kimberly and they pick "Back Off." "Back Off" involves unhooking a clamp for the opponent's back and clipping it onto your base clip. Both rounds Ruthis fought to get the clip right next to Kimberly's home base which gave Kimberly the advantage and the win sending Ruthie home.
The cast is bored in the house. Jenn who became very close with Rachel on "The Island" feels like she doesn't even know her anymore. They arrive at the next challenge which is "Luging My Mind". Pairs will climb a hill and then go down in a luge all while wearing a large bobble head of themselves. Teams are as follows - Landon/Brittini, Evan/Diem, Dunbar/Paula, Issac/Ruthie, Mark/Rachel, Eric/Katie, MJ/Aneesa, Brad/Tori, Nehemiah/Jenn and Derek/Kimberly. Landon continues his winning streak with Brittini. Jenn hurts her shoulder during the challenge and goes to the Doctor to get it checked out. The Doctors fear it could get worse but Jenn decides to stick it out. The pick goes as followes: Landon/Brittini-Rachel-Mark-Tori-Brad-Diem-Evan-Aneesa-MJ-Kimberly-Derek-Katie-Eric-Ruthie-Isaac-Paula-Dunbar leaving Nehemiah and Jenn. Nehemiah chooses to go against Evan and they pick "The Elevator." "The Elevator" involves pulling a chain which raises the opponent's platform. It's a close battle but Evan pulls off a win sending Nehemiah home. Jenn chooses Katie and they pick "Push Over." "Push Over" involves using a mat to push your opponent off a raised platform. Even with the hurt shoulder, Jenn knocks Katie off the first two rounds sending Katie home.
Since Paula's switch in last week's episode, everyone is questioning Evan and his loyality to her. This week's challenge is "All Shook Up". Each person must stay on the longest on two parallel ropes which other and shaking it. The winner is safe from the Duel and wins a Autonet Mobile Router. After two minutes the players are only aloud to hold with one hand and then after another two minutes, the players can touch and knock eachother off physically. There are several phases but Landon and Ruthie win. The pick goes as Landon/Ruthie-Brittini-Mark-Rachel-Brad-Tori-MJ-Aneesa-Isaac-Katie-Eric-Diem-Evan-Kimberly-Derek-Jenn-Nehermiah-Paula-Dunbar leaving Brooke and Davis. Brooke chooses to go against Brittini and they pick "Back Off." Davis picks to go against Evan and picks "Spot On." "Back Off" involves unhooking a clamp for the opponent's back and clipping it onto your base clip. Brittini easily beats Brooke sending her home. "Spot On" is a climbing wall with open holes that need to be filled with the puzzle pieces below. Meanwhile, Evan is freaking out that this Duel is a puzzle and it could be the one thing that Davis could beat him at but Evan comes ahead and sends Davis home.
We're back in the Duel ready for the girl's turn this time. Aneesa and Shauvon battle it out nasty but Aneesa wins both rounds and sends Shauvon packing. The following day, they arrive at a ice rink where TJ announced the next challenge is "Freezing as Puck." The group must form teams of two where the girl will sit on a large block of ice and the guy will push it as far as he can into point rings. There will be legs where teams will be eliminated until they're down to the last guy and girl who will be immune from the Duel and also win a T-Mobile G-1 with Google. Leg 1 eliminates the following teams with a score of 20 to 15 - Issac/Katie - Ryan/Jenn - Nehemiah/Brooke - Davis/Ruthie - Derek/Kimberly and Dunbar/Diem. The second leg eliminates the following team with a score of 15 to 10 - MJ/Robin - Eric/Aneesa - Evan/Paula. The third leg eliminates Brad/Tori leaving Mark/Rachel and Landon/Brittini to battle out on who can push the block the farthest. Mark/Rachel win by only a couple feet. Mark and Rachel decide to be nice to Aneesa since she had to go in the Duel last time as long as she picks Landon. This leads to everyone creating a perfect list of how the order should go. They arrive and start the picking. Mark/Rachel choose Aneesa - Landon - Britini - Brad - Tori - Evan - Paula - Dunbar - Diem - Ryan - Jen - Nehemiah - Brooker - David - Kimberl - Derek - Katie - Eric - Ruthie - Isaac leaving Robin and MJ. It seems that Paula went against the plan and everyone is pissed. Robin chooses Kimberly and picks "Duel Pole Dancing" while MJ chooses Ryan and picks "Push Over." The guys are up first and they must push the opponent off a mat first. The best of three legs wins. MJ easily knocks Ryan off the first two legs sending him home. The girls are up next and they must climb on opposite's side of a rock climbing pole first while trying to keep their opponent from winning. After several struggles, Kimberly reaches the top first sending veteran Robin packing. The challengers get back to the house where everyone confronts Evan demanding he end his alliance with Paula.
The 17th Season of the challenge is here! Twenty-six of our favorite Real World, Road Rules and Challenge alumni are back to compete for $300,000 and prizes. Challengers include Eric, Nick, Brad, Dunbar, Adam, Mark, Landon, Davis, Derek, Evan, Isaac, CT and Ryan for the guys. For the girls, we have Kimberly, Ruthie, Diem, Katie, Aneesa, Jenn, Tori, Robin, Brooke, Paula, Rachel, Brittini and Shauvon. TJ welomes the challengers to Queenstown, New Zealand and The Duel 2 where everyone will be competing on their own. Rules of the games are that there will be only one guy and one girl winner at each challenge which makes them exempt for the Duel. They will agree on a person to pick causing a chain reaction of picking leaving one guy and one girl left. Those two will automatically be sent into the Duel with a person of their choosing. The challengers are sent to their house to settle in and party. We learn that Tori and Brad are engaged and David and Ryan are hooking up. CT and Diem are no longer together which leads to a mysterious hookup between CT and Shauvan on the roof during Kimberly's costume Birthday party. Diem learns about this and is humiliated. She asks Adam about it and he says he only has heard what she has heard. CT sees the two of them talking and thinks that Adam is the one that ratted him out leading to another blow up and another fight between the two of them. They are both eliminated from the show and replaced the next day by MJ and Nehemiah. TJ announces the first challenge will be "Last Man Standing" which is just a rugby game eliminating players until they're down to one guy and one girl which end up being Evan and Robin. The winner of this challenge also won a XBox 360 and Rock Band 2. Because of the count, one guy and one girl had to sit out the first round and won exemption from the Duel which ends up being Paula and Brad. MJ and Robin created an alliance which causes Robin to talk Even into picking him first. The pick goes Evan/Robin choose MJ - Katie - Eric - Tori - Mark - Rachel - Dunbar - Diem - Landon - Brittini - Derek - Kim - Nick - Aneesa - Isaac - Ruthie - Nehemiah - Brooke - Davis - Jenn leaving Ryan and Shauvon.
