I always thought of tv.com as a global centre for tv show enthusiasts. In germany our local tv shows are pretty lame and I want to enjoy my favorite shows in the native language. Since Southpark and the invention of broadband internet i havent missed a single major league tv show. And damn, was i pissed when they canceled Firefly, Journeyman and Carnival.Though I never even had a tv.com user account I use this page ever since.

I know that a relaunch takes time and so I waited until today to comment on the new layout.

I wont start the blueish/facebook lookalike discussion again. Many people have commented on that part and I do agree with most of them. I could even get accustomed to barbie like pink colors with little hearts in the background (would take some time though) as long as the general layout works. But that just isnt the case.

The main page is crowded with information that is just use.... aehm unnecessary. For me there is just no need to scroll down the page. I got the impression that you guys use all those frames to make tv.com look bigger than it actually is.

Frame 1: News. A stepback compared to the older slide show reel

Frame 2: Most recent news. Crowded, I miss the pictures.

Frame 5: Most popular news. What should Fox do with Terra Nova - sticky since relaunch. Who needs 3 news frames ?

Frame 3: Whats on tonight. Irrelevant for non-us viewers and I wonder if people from the states really use that feature

Frame 4: Dont be a stranger, get addicted to facebook. Id rather have herpes

Frame 6: TV Listings. Irrelevant for non-us viewers, redundant

Frame 7: What to watch online. Again, wo needs 3 frames ? And irrelavant for most non-us viewers.

Frame 8: Add your favorite. Looks promising but kind of lost in heavy sea.

Frame 9: Most popular shows. Like it.

    Frame 10: Midseason 2012. News again ?!

Frame 11: TV.coms top 100. Again ?!! Seems easier to change from tv.com to tv.com/news than to navigate within the main page

Frame 12:Tv.com writers. I want more

Frame 13: Popular forum topics. Dollhouse and 90210 - useless

Frame 14: Trending shows. For me just the same as the most popular shows - useless

Frame 15: Most discussed episodes. This is just my opinion but again - useless

Frame 16: Whats on twitter? See Frame 4, my lips are already itching

I have already changed my tv.com link to the news section but still dont get the idea of this relaunch.

May the force be with you,

    Dennis
