    Please use this thread to report bugs ONLY. Feedback on the Homepage redesign should be posted in the Homepage Redesign Feedback thread.

    - All the links at the top (Best TV of... | Holiday Gift Guide |Premiere Plots) go to whichever page you're currently on e.g. I was on the ideas forum and all went to the ideas forum...I moved to Dog the Bounty Hunter and all links link there.
    - I'm in the UK but I see a link for the AU Holiday Gift Guide?
    - Images on the homepage in that middle bar thingy are repeated.
    - PM box does open but directs you to the homepage on your main window & doesn't flick to the newly opened PM window (Firefox 3)

    Well the links to Best TV of ... and stuff lead me to a tv.com's own 404 page.

    I can't see the problem with the repeated pictures.

    HOWEVER:
    What I have a problem with is my favorite show list is longer than my display - so there should be some scroll bar - currently I can't access the shows past the letter D. That's a serious problem for me.

    Yep I have that problem too DJU and my favourites list isn't even that long.

    - Clicking on the Smallville image on the homepage tries to go via "redesign.internal.tv.com" & gives you a page could not load error.

    Didn't you JUST redesign this site a few monthes ago? I am ecstatic to see that as soon as I get used to the new layout, it becomes the old layout in favor to this one (Did you pick up on the sarcasm?). Anyways, I can't look at all of my favorites because the list keeps going off the screen and when I try and scroll down, it disappears.

    Yeah, I can't get to over half of my favorite shows on my favorites list, either, and it really slows me down. And why can't we have our messages and Queue showing without having to check it compulsively?! This redesign yet again seems to be totally counter intuitive to making the site more user friendly. And after all the many loud complaints about TOO MUCH WHITE!!! what do you do?! YOU GIVE US MORE WHITE!!! I'm thoroughly disgusted, yet again, by the lack of empathy to the users of this site. There is absolutely no reason why everything on this site has to be white, and to do it in spite of the many objections is just proof that the users are beneath contempt to those runnning the site. I vowed I'd never bother complaining on one of these threads again (after the change before the last), but this has angered me so much that I can't help myself. If the idea is to drive all the current users away, keep up the good work. If not, get your heads out and start listening!!!

    Hovering the pointer over the favorites list and using the mouse scroll wheel is the only way I can see the bottom of my list. Too bad for those without a scroll wheel.

    There also a lot of display issues on the forums page when using Explorer, but everything lines up okay for me in Firefox.

    Can someone please explain the logic behind hiding the PM and Que counters on member pages? It borders on complete and absolute stupidity why this info, important to any user who visits here, is hidden away. Does anybody doing these redesigns actually USE THIS SITE???!!!!!

    Sorry, a "jumpy" rollover is just a bad idea for navigation on many browsers and screen sizes. Especially annoying is not being able to see PMs and the queue.

    I suppose the time came to redo the logo, but jimminy, the header is huge and doesn't match powder blue colors. Does this mean all those pages are changing?

    I thought this new layout was only going a effect the home page! It's effecting everything else here, as well! On top of that, I can only make quick replies, but am unable to type anything for regular forum posts and blog entries, when using Safari. It works fine with Firefox, though. And I agree with the problems with the status box at the top right of the screen. These new layouts just keep getting worse and worse, IMO. I was actually doing fine with the latest major redesign, but now I'm really pissed.

    Rollovers are bad in general. I see too many people using computers who double click....everything....rather than just hovering or single clicking. I'm sure that some of the visitors here are not hugely computer literate & this rollover menu will confuse the heck out of those users!

    Could we have some kind of blend up there ^^ below the headers? The dark line is...dark.

    Great. Just what we need. Another redesign and the bugs from the past one are still not fixed. I'm having the same problem as dju010 with the best of and my favorites. I also can not comment on the Community Announcements at the top of the forums. It dose not have a box for commenting and when you click on the comment button nothing happens. I'm tired of all of this. I think it's time for a change (for me that is).

    I thought that the My Queue thing was completely missing, but after searching for 5 minutes, I found it. No one liked the last redesign, just a month or so ago, and now they've gone and made it worse.

    I also can't access the bottom of the list of "My Favourites".

    Another thing, every time I log in now, I get this annoying error page. So I then have to go into one of my bookmarked TV.com pages in order to access the site.

    That's exactly what was happening to me too, i.e., the inability to comment on the announcements page. It's getting to the point with all this redesigning that I am seriously thinking of giving up on the site. The only thing I use it for now anyway is the off-topic forum and my blog, and that's getting less and less frequent now too. It's sad to see a site that used to offer so much fall to something like this. Maybe I'll just print out my blogs that are already here and just let the site go the rest of the way down the drain.

    I don't find the new header any more or less annoying than the last one, which I have already forgotten, but a few things strike me.

    • The new header sits oddly with the standard page look. I assume that all pages will get a new white and orange skin in due course.
    • The sub menus for the main tabs on each page, introduced with the last upgrade, have all gone. They didn't last long, did they?
    • The PM notification panel is hidden from view. That's just daft.
    • The Mod Queue notification panel is hidden from view. That will mean an end to my current practice of moderating submissions in real time, and sits oddly with the robust new approach to MIA and negligent editors.
    • My list of favourite shows is restricted to just 28 — I have all show guides that I edit in my list, but cannot access the majority of them.

    I'm still waiting for my personal email telling me about this exciting new change: I was one of those users who got told about the September abomination a few hours ahead of "regular" users: it seems new protocols are now in place.

    This is my fourth attempt to post this message: every time I accessed the hidden panel to check something to complain about, I inadvertently opened a link to a new page!

    You can get around that glitch by rolling over your profile name, leave your cursor on the list (don't click anything) and then use the arrow keys on your keyboard to go up and down the list.

    It's a pain, but what about this site isn't a pain at this point?
