By now, you've probably noticed the massive overhaul on our site. Rest assured that all current information will still be available and that you'll be able to contribute to the guides, to the forums, and add your reviews as normal. In fact, we're calling out the fact that most of the content on TV.com was provided by, well, mostly by you guys. We're giving users easier access to new videos, a simpler way to talk about favorite shows, and an overview about what everyone else on the site thinks about the latest in TV. Think of it as an improved 'landing' page, giving you a snapshot of happenings on the site without having to search all over for information. The main purpose is to show new users that they're entering a thriving community of people much like themselves. Please note that comments made on the main page will get posted onto the accompanying forum for each featured show.

Please only put feedback here; issues with bugs or technical problems should go here.

    Thanks!

Feedback here. Includes the following bugs:

    - All the links at the top (Best TV of... | Holiday Gift Guide |Premiere Plots) go to whichever page you're currently on e.g. I was on the ideas forum and all went to the ideas forum...I moved to Dog the Bounty Hunter and all links link there.
    - I'm in the UK but I see a link for the AU Holiday Gift Guide?
    - Images on the homepage in that middle bar thingy are repeated.
    - PM box does open but directs you to the homepage on your main window & doesn't flick to the newly opened PM window (Firefox 3)

    - Favorite show list is longer than the display and there is no scroll bar.

    - Clicking on the Smallville image on the homepage tries to go via "redesign.internal.tv.com" & gives you a page could not load error.

    - Display issues on the forums page when using Explorer, but everything lines up okay in Firefox.

    - No immediate notification of pending Subs & PMs

    - Logging in directs user to an error page.

    Additional feedback here.

Thanks, for getting all that together so quickly Newb! Nilla_chelle01 is already working on reporting those bugs, and hopefully we can keep all the bug reports to that central location. Any qualitative comments though, what you like, what you don't like, and general feedback can go in here, so we know what the community thinks!

No problemo, thanks to Nilla for reporting the bugs.

    Opinions...

It would be great if the dark theme at the bottom of the page could be offered as an option for the top of the page too because it's too white - I think the dark line at the top emphasises the blank space above it.

I'm with the others on saying that it would be good if our editor queues and PM boxes could also be visible again without hovering - I had a PM for quite a while before I realised it was there.

    Likes:

    - Grey Theme at the bottom
    - Removal of the dropdown under the Forums header
    - The gumball section (yeah I remembered it's name finally!!) on the homepage looks good (or will do once the duplicated images are removed) - I like the change to that, it looks nice and fresh - but Eva looks like she needs to start advertising moisturiser instead of hair colour (her picture is a little distorted...may just be because the image is repeated, I'm not sure?).

    Dislikes:

    - My new UK flag Can I have my big flag back please?
    - The blank spaces at the top & the dark dividing line.
    - Not enough differentiation between the sections on the homepage (light lines between them might help)
    - Lack of visibility of queue/PMs
    - The hover menu seems really sensitive - it keeps disappearing on me...but that could just be my notorious bad aim.

I think you know what the majority of members think. We've been shouting it since September. Instead of giving us what we wanted you've just made things EVEN MORE complicated.

Good luck, you'll need it. The base is slipping away from you, and you don't even realize it, due to ignorance (root = "ignore").

I've got to agree. Feedback is apparently useless and the site owners will continue to do whatever they please, regardless of opinions of users. Another redesign with more bugs before most other bugs are fixed just emphasizes the point. Oh, and more white - yippee!

I don't find the new header any more or less annoying than the last one, which I have already forgotten, but a few things strike me.

The new header sits oddly with the standard page look. I assume that all pages will get a new white and orange skin in due course.

The sub menus for the main tabs on each page, introduced with the last upgrade, have all gone. They didn't last long, did they?

The PM notification panel is hidden from view. That's just daft.

The Mod Queue notification panel is hidden from view. That will mean an end to my current practice of moderating submissions in real time, and sits oddly with the robust new approach to MIA and negligent editors.

My list of favourite shows is restricted to just 28 - I have all show guides that I edit in my list, but cannot access the majority of them.

I'm sorry to say I am extremely disappointed. You count on us to provide content for the site, but turn a deaf ear when we suggest more user friendly improvements. Now there is even more white, less maneuverability, important information hidden unless you scroll over, etc., etc. I know it's just the homepage, but really, why did the designers spend all their time re-doing that page instead of incorporating all the valid suggestions the users provided for all the other pages? Should we even bother to provide feedback for this? It didn't make an iota of difference the last time.

My apologies for seeming so bitter, but I feel rather reneged on now...

The "instant" posting feature on the Homepage is almost as fast as chat software or Instant Messaging.

Look for lots of spam to increase posts counts. Mods may be busier as well, scrambling to keep up with threads that basically are "type and hit enter".

Meh. The first overhaul was the best overhaul I think. This one wasn't really needed.

Not bad, but you removed the feature where one can browse by genre, i.e. comedy, drama, etc. Otherwise it's ok.
