    Hi All,

Several users have asked for a one-stop list of all bugs associated with the redesign reported so far... so here it is!

This list contains everything that staff are aware of as being reported so far (including fixed bugs). A FIXED note will be placed against the bug as a fix is implemented & confirmed as working. The subject will be updated as new bugs are added or fixes are implemented.

Thanks to the AMAZING efforts of more_ncis_now, the list is broken up into sections to make it easier to check if a bug has already been reported.

    UPDATED POSTING GUIDELINES
Please report all bugs in this thread and the comprehensive list will be updated accordingly.

The bugs on the list are NOT in order of priority & the numbering is purely to make life easier if you want to refer to a bug.

A HUGE THANKS, again, to more_ncis_now for compiling this list!

S8 - As previously posted, Director credits are also run together on the Episode Overview page. See example.

D4 - Recurring Role should presumably be Recurring Roles. On the Credits/Writers, Directors and Crew page, Crews should be Crew.

Some kind of script is used to generate the web addresses for previous and next episodes. As reported here, the next episode link does point to the next episode, but the generated web address uses the name of the previous episode.

I note that several reported bugs don't feature in the list, and appreciate that some may be considered desirable features and that others may have been overlooked, or omitted for reasons of space, but it seems that the single most critical bug (first reported here) has been omitted from the list. At some point in 2006, contributors gained an excellent little tool to aid the cast submission process. This was a link that showed the first few acting credits from a person's profile whenever we clicked on a name from the list of search results. This meant we could quickly and easily establish if we had the found the correct person before adding a credit. We were promised an equivalent feature for crew, but when the submission system was overhauled in July 2007 the feature was lost entirely. After a few weeks we were given a less user-friendly elective link. When selected, this would call up star, recurring role or other crew credits (but not guest stars, writers or directors) from the Other Appearances section of the main page of a person's profile. For the redesign, a helpful developer has gone to all the trouble of ensuring that the [credits] and [details] links only appear if there are TV.com credits or a Biography entry to look at. Unfortunately, all credits have been removed from the main summary page, and the [credits] link doesn't point anywhere. When we click on the [credits] link we get no details. At all. To see whether we have the correct person, we have to open the person's profile, then select the Credits tab. This is most unwieldy, and hardly designed to encourage contributors to ensure that they are linking credits to the correct person guide. A working [credits] link would be useful, but if that isn't planned you might as well delete the [credits] link from search results, as the feature is currently redundant.

Adding to display problems, I did not see above the issue with the upper right hand corner box not showing properly using the FireFox browser as in this screenshot:

    Bugs not on the list:

Renumbering episodes does not stay if an episode is deleted. All the episodes that I changed, renumbered themselves to another number after the extra episode was deleted, making it very tricky to delete the second duplicate episode, since the numbers (and possibly the link I posted in the deletion thread changed). Though I'm not 100 percent certain about the latter (the links changing), the episode numbers (not lifetime episode numbers) definitely changed to other numbers by themselves, after the deletion. I had to renumber them today.

UP3: The three visible blog titles do all incorrectly link to the newest blog only, but the three "Comments" links also only link to the same comments of the newest blog. However, the individual "Read more" links correctly take you to the three different blogs. That way is an easier workaround for reading the recent blogs, but the blog title and comments links do get used more.

sounddude, I'm able to expand the box fine while using FireFox. Can you send more info about your settings. Looking at the picture, I'm wondering if this is a display issue for certain screen resolutions.

I think sounddude has set his fontsize to 200% which causes the same problem for me when I test it. Setting it to 100% should fix things.

I think folks are playing with font sizes because the small non-Arial fonts (and gray fonts) are hard to read. I should be clear that the non-Arial fonts exist when you are typing a post and in the my shows dropdown box.

Ceres: Celestial Legend. Yesterday, the extra episode was deleted and the numbers of the episodes changed to incorrect numbers. I had fixed the episode numbers a couple of days before the deletion. I just checked my submission list and I don't know the date that I changed those episode numbers, originally, because I can only access one page of my subs.

Finnegan - I added that fixed notation because it looked okay my end when I was splitting the thread. It still looks okay to me? Can you post a screenshot?
