Ginnie: I can't do it anymore. I just can't let go of one more thing.
Bob: I didn't realize. Listen, you have got a wonderful, caring heart. So much love to give, but that dog is not ours
Ginnie: I know.
Bob: I'm here. (edit) Garry: Once we took in a lost dog when I was 9. Turns out that it had really bad stomach cancer.
Rose: Oh that's awful
Garry: No, no it totally worked out. He got hit by a car the next day, so he didn't have to suffer much. Ya know.
Waitress Okay. You know what you want?
Garry: Uh I want her to forget that I told that story about the dog. (edit) Bob: Maybe you're just a slow reader.
Anne: I'm a slow reader? Okay then how come it took you 15 months to read the 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'? And also, why were you read 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'? (edit) Anne: I have an idea. Danny got this for our fourth anniversary and it was so romantic and thoughtful. He got me a goat.
Bob: A goat?
Anne: It's through this catalog. He bought one for an impoverish family in Africa. It saved like an entire village. Our love saved a village Bob. (edit) Bob: Bongo lesson. Bongo lessons. Brilliant. That's a brilliant idea, isn't it?
Anne: Yeah. Cause I don't know how many times I've heard Ginnie say 'I wanna get into bongoing.' yeah. 'I wanna be a bongoer.' (edit)

Bob thought of many crazy gifts for Ginnie before he settled on a dog. Some of those gifts included a watch (which Ginnie already had), snow tires, a sauna, under-eye cream, bongo lessons, laser eye surgery, a classic movie poster of James Dean, Joni Mitchell boxset, a necklace, earrings, Moroccan cooking classes and a singing toilet seat.
(edit)
The alternate title of this episode is 'Lhasa Love' but the dog that Ginnie brought home was not a Lhasa Apso.
