Rick Hansen was born in August 26, 1957 in Port Alberni, British Columbia. He got in an accident and couldn't walk anymore. He was a world class athlete and did wheelchair marathon races, played volleyball and wheelchair basketball. He went around the world in a wheelchair and helped to raise money for spinal cord injury. He also inspired other people to follow their dreams. Rick Hansen thinks that if you set a goal, it should be possible to reach even though it might be challenging.
