This film takes place a few years after the final episode of "Road to Avonlea." Felix, who has been fighting in WWI, has been listed as missing in action. Janet's reaction to the possibility of having lost a son alienates her from the rest of the family. Meanwhile, Hetty tries to get a famous elocutionist to perform for the school choir's Christmas performance. While in Charlottetown trying to persuade him, she collapses. A doctor tells her that a tumor has been found on her spine, and a biopsy is performed.
Sara Stanley is sent to live with country relatives and has a hard time fitting in with her cousins.

The Road to Avonlea serie is one of the best ever. The characters are so likeable, so real. a nice story about a family, a town. Friendships, loves, happiness, hurts, pain: what the real life is. My favorite character is Simon Tremayne, the owner of White Sand Hotel.
