Blanche - “My body was tingling all over…”

This one delivers a shock to the system with skits like “Golden Girl and the City"! You've been WARNED! hide show

Cracked China is one my all time favorite Robot Chicken episodes! The series overall is fantastic but to be fair this episode cannot top The Deed End (‘The Real World Metropolis’ and ‘Kill Bunny’ are Classics!). Not to say that Cracked China was lacking in flavor; on the contrary –

Pokemon parodies will never cease to be Funny! Pikachu’s antics were hilarious even though it was a short (but satisfying) skit. ‘Golden Girls and the City’ sounded disturbing to me at first but when I heard “Dorothy here, Enjoying my Prune Juice Martini” I lost it! Who ever thought of this episode is a "CHAMPION"!

    Dissappointing hide show

Was anyone else as disappointed as I was with this episode. So far this season has been better and better with each episode until this one. Plus, the golden girls/sex in the city part was just...disturbing.

I honestly loved the last few episodes, the dance dance revolucion was hysterical, captain planet made me almost wet myself from laughing so hard, and overall, the show has just been fantastic.

But I have to say, I was really really disappointed by this episode. I really hope next week's is going to be a lot better than this one. Maybe its just a fluke and they'll get back to amazing episodes soon.

  • For the first airing of this episode the buzzing over the credits was replaced with silence. []
  • In the numb-chucking sketch, Boy has Novacaine injected into his neck and his whole body goes numb. However, Novacaine is only a local anesthetic and would only cause the injection site and surrounding area to become numb. []
  • The sketch where the boy made his bed into a wrestling ring is based on how writer Tom Root would play as a child. []
More Trivia
  • When this episode first aired, this note from the creators could be seen:
A while back, one of our executives left some Robot Chicken scripts in an L.A. cab. The other week, they turned up on eBay. Last time we checked the bid was at $1 Shipping was $3. []

Toddler Boy: No, I pulled you over because I love you. (kisses toddler girl on the cheek)
    Toddler Girl: (giggles sweetly) []

Teenage Boy #1: Dude that's so 2005, were into numbchucking now.

More Quotes
  • Apocalypse Pony
The fake commercial parodies the Hasbro line of toys, My Little Pony, by basing the ponies on the four horsemen of the Apocalypse: War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death. The jingle used during the sketch is also a parody of the theme song for My Little Pony. []
  • Golden Girls and the City
The sketch is an amalgam parody of two classic TV series, Golden Girls and Sex and the City. While the plot is along the lines of "Sex and the City," it features the cast of "Golden Girls," with Bea Arthur's character, Dorothy, in place of the lead character from "Sex and the City," Carrie Bradshaw, who was played by Sarah Jessica Parker. []
  • The Last Starfighter
The segment with the checker-playing kid is a allusion to the movie "The Last Starfighter". There, a teenager named Alex Rogan is recruited by an alien to become a Starfighter after he passes a test disguised as a video game. []
