Rory Cochrane: Biography
- Rory: (on "A Scanner Darkly") I think it's the type of movie that it would be a mistake to market like a drug movie because it's not... You have to be sort of fully faceted and aware when you go watch this movie, or else you're going to lose some things. You can't just sit back and get high or get drunk or whatever people do and try to follow this film.(edit)
- Rory: When you're doing that TV thing, you're doing the same thing for years and years. You can fall into bad habits as an actor and I think it can take a toll on your ability to act, which I think is scary.(edit)
- Rory: I didn't really know exactly the point where I wanted to be an actor. But I know at this point, because I never went to college, I don't really have anything to fall back on.(edit)
- Rory: (on the contrast of doing "CSI: Miami" against various films) I like to do different things and collaborate with different people. But I have no regrets for doing that show, it was very educational and it gave me a nice opportunity to go into peoples' houses every week.(edit)
- Rory: (on filming "Right At Your Door") We shot six days a week, and thank God it was a short shoot, because it was emotionally and mentally draining to do this sort of material. It was very intense. And it stayed that way. If it was a four month shoot we would have had to check ourselves into an institution by the end of it.(edit)
- Rory: (on coming back to the set of "CSI: Miami") It was a little awkward at first, but some of the same crew people were there and it was nice to see them. It became more comfortable. It was a little surreal, but it was fine.(edit)
- Rory: (on coming back for an episode in "CSI: Miami") Well, it's the sort of thing I could have said no to. But I figured I didn't have any hard feelings towards anybody there--I like the cast, the crew--so why not go back for one episode?(edit)
- Rory Cochrane: (on him leaving "CSI: Miami") It didn't have anything to do with anybody involved that I chose to leave. It had to do with the grind and the monotony. It was kind of like Groundhog Day. You get up, go to work, come home, get up go to work go home... it takes a toll on your soul kind of.(edit)
- Rory Cochrane: Just because you have a degree in medicine, doesn't mean that you have taste.(edit)
- Rory Cochrane: I do not regret the things I've done, but those I did not do.(edit)
