Alex's "signature" is binary code for some incoded computer files containing the translation of the aliens' Destiny book. However his signature doesn't translate properly. The typical binary code is to have every five digits represent one character, because four digits can only hold up to 15. However, using that method, you get 28-18-14-25, whereas 26 is the highest character, holding Z. If you use every four digits is one character, you get 14-4-9-13-9, or NDIMI.
