Isabel dreams of telling Alex she's ready for a relationship, they begin to kiss. It begins at night then becomes day in the desert, by a rock formation where we see Michael standing above them, arms folded, dressed in black, silhouetted against the sky. Isabel finds herself standing alone wearing a midnight blue strapless dress, looking down at the alien symbols surrounding her. Michael is standing behind her and holds out his hand. He becomes Alex... and Isabel wakes up.

Liz and Max discuss Tess, who they believe is Nasedo. The gang takes turns following Tess, but she knows it. Later, the gang have a discussion about Tess and Nasedo. They conclude that they must trust only each other. Mr Harding takes the miniature camera to Valenti. Valenti makes up a story and once Harding is gone, Valenti confronts Max about the camera, he can't protect them if they don’t trust him.

Isabel returns home to find Tess in her house with her mother. Tess asks Isabel if she's ever gotten signals, that you may be destined to be with someone. Tess acts like she's talking about her and Max, but Isabel suddenly has the same image of Michael. "Pay attention, Isabel, there are signs all around you." Isabel sees 4 sugar cubes on the tabletop, arranged in a square. Frightened, Isabel confides in Max and they compare how Tess makes them feel, concluding that she seems to be awakening something alien inside them. Isabel suggests Michael should sleep at their house.

Isabel is in the desert and crouches to look at an alien symbol, four squares connected by an X. Michael strokes her hair and looking up, suddenly night, she sees the V constellation in the night sky. Day, Michael kisses Isabel ... and Isabel and Michael wake violently, as if from a nightmare, waking Max. Michael follows Max to Isabel’s room, and Michael and Isabel exchange horrified looks. Isabel: "It was only a dream." and Michael echoes her.

Max quizzes them on the dream while they leave out certain details, Michael and Isabel point out the symbol on the map from the cave wall. He quickly notices their shared uncomfortable looks. Frustrated, Max states he wishes they could read the map. Isabel tells Michael to tell Max: "Michael used the V constellation to navigate the map." Isabel confesses that she and Michael sent a message to Nasedo the night at the public library. Max accuses Michael of leading Nasedo to them. Max and Liz look up the Aries constellation, discovering that with Venus, the V constellation is created. The alignment began when Tess arrived in town. Both disturbed the dreams, Michael and Isabel abruptly step up relationship seriousness with Maria and Alex, then announce it to each other.

Alex takes Isabel home and she takes a nap. The dream picks up where the last one left off - Michael and Isabel kissing, on top of the rock formation. Michael lays Isabel down, starting to make love to her. She sees a baby growing inside her. Isabel wakes up. Michael is trying again to figure out the map when he sees Tess at his window. She breathes on the window and makes the four square. Michael opens the window, where is it? "You already know, you've been there before." Michael remembers being a child, seeing a sign for Pullman Ranch. Liz tries to warn Kyle about Tess. Liz and Max follow Tess and Kyle to the library, where Max sees Tess create a silver handprint on the wall and take a book out of the wall. Michael found out Pullman Ranch was the crash site, the government took it over. Max gets suspicious of Michael's sudden memory and Michael gets defensive. Max, thinking Michael’s being manipulated, doesn't tell him about the book.

Isabel is standing pushing her toddler son on a swing. Michael takes their son and they stand together, very happy. They make a beautiful family. They both wake up. They finally talk about the dreams. "I think it's all true, Michael, I think I'm pregnant with your child." Michael points out they're not Human, something weird was bound to happen.

Max dreams he and Tess are standing at the same symbol as in Michael/Isabel's dream. Max wakes to find Tess in his room and she takes him to the rock formation. Max attacks Tess, accusing her of being Nasedo. She pleads with him - he knows who she is, he's seen her face before. Max remembers when they emerged from the pods, seeing Tess still inside hers. Max hesitated to leave her but Isabel and Michael were already at the door, waiting for him. Isabel held out her hand and Max took it and they left the cave. Michael and Isabel arrive and Max announces "She's not Nasedo, she's one of us." Unaware of it, they are standing as the four square, the symbol represents them.
