  • In 1938 Roy decided to buy a Palomino stallion named Golden Cloud for $2,500.00. Roy wanted to ride him in his flims, but he thought that Golden Cloud didn't sound very western, so Roy renamed him Trigger & the legendary screen team was born.(edit)
  • When his beloved horse Trigger died, Roy couldn't bear to bury him so he had him stuffed. Roy didn't tell his children about any of this until about a year after Trigger passed away.(edit)
  • Both he and his wife Dale Evans were the grand marshals of the "Tournament of Roses Parade" in 1977.(edit)
  • When he was a little boy, he taught himself how to yodel by listening to an old cylinder recording of a Swiss yodeler over & over again.(edit)
  • He met Dale Evans on the set of their first movie "The Cowboy and the Senorita"(edit)
