Yeah, I know it sounds like a bit of an odd pairing, but don't you think they at least have puppy-love crushes on each other? It seems to be implied in the show.

I agree. I mean in "Quadro-gloomia", we find out that Ruby has a crush on Skull boy. I wonder if they'll show an episode where Ruby tells Skull boy how she really feels about him?

I think it is better to keep dragging the notion of implying a crush indirectly and falling short of directly admitting a crush to keep us watching the program.

Another hint: In the recent Hair(less): The Musical, when Skull Boy considers leaving, Ruby sings "If you love...like someone, set them free."

I agree. And since Ruby Gloom is supposedly a show aimed at younger kids (though I don't find it particularly "childish"), I don't think romance will ever be a central theme, anyway.

Actually, if you watch for it there are tons of little moments. And no one's said a word about Sunny Daze (y'know, when Misery goes to visit some of her relatives and the sun comes out?). That had to be one of the best moments ever. Of course, I haven't seen it on the net, so it may not be your fault. Heck, even in the beginning Skull Boy is constantly showing off to Ruby, and always wants her opinion on everything.

It appears as though skull boy has a little crush on Ruby. He acts that way anyways.

Unless a third season is announced, the show is over, correct? Don't lynch me (yet), I have a point to all this!

The last episode is, fittingly, Last Train to Gloomsville. And while obviously it was all "The End", it had a sense of closure. These guys are such good friends they've won an award for it. There's some stuff left hanging, but that's the nature of this show. But in part two, look at the moment when they hug. Closure. Ruby runs straight for him (she's not shy anymore) and throws her arms around him. Without hesitating, Skull Boy hugs her back. He definately likes her back, and he's certainly not holding back. Of course, this is in front of their friends. No one likes being caught doing something sappy with their crush while friends are watching. So they react with nervousness.

(On a much less serious note, anyone read "Ruby Gloom's Guide to Friendship"? Ruby describes her friends in detail, with the exception of Misery, who didn't exist then. Skull Boy's page is hilarious. I'll quote it.

    "Skully!

He's sooo cute! When we met it was a classic story of boy meets girl, and then boy runs away from girl." There's more, and the whole page is covered in hearts. Half the book has her fawning over him. Seriously, what doubt is there left?)

Ummm... sorry. This was a long post, and did exactly what I didn't want to do, analyse the show. I'll shut up now and go back to reviewing...
