    10 Perfect

This was a perfect episode, that focused on the battle between the Juppongatana at the Aoiya verses the Kyoto Oniwabanshu and Kaoru with Yahiko. hide show

This episode just seemed... tremendous. The beggining kicked off really good and it showed how hard Yahiko has been training and how much potenial he has as a swordsman, and how observant he is when watching people fight. At first I thought probably Hiko was going to swoop in and save him, but no, Yahiko dealt with Henya like a real guy would do. He thought of a superb strategy using the dymanmite as a propeller and the door from the Aoiya as a substitute for wings and then smashed his wooden sword right down on Henya, breaking the sword, but breaking Henya as well... very well done. I hope Yahiko's cut on his back isn't too severe though. The second part of this episode with Misao and Kaoru was very well done also. The beggining Kaoru thought of a good strategy against the scythe swinging queer but was caught off guard by the chain with a spiky ball at the end of it, and it hit Misao breaking a few (or more than a few) of her ribs. Kaoru managed to dodge her ultimate offensive and defensive attack until Misao regained conciousness with the help of Hannya and Aoshi, and used her kunai not to kill Katamari, but to wedge the kunai in between his scythe so Kaoru could quickly break it. Then, Kaoru by herself finished him, forcing him to retreat before he could take his own life, with the help of Kaoru. A very nice job from the two ladies.

Overall this episode was something new and not with Kenshin, which was refreshing after that dark bout with Aoshi, and I can't wait for the next episode to see how they will deal with Fuji and that old guy... the Aoiya Oniwabanshu and Misao, Kaoru, and Yahiko managed to make three of the Juppongatana to retreat! Niice!!!
