Ryan Giggs: Biography

Ryan Giggs is a current star of both the Manchester United and Wales national side.

He was born Ryan Joseph Wilson on 29 November 1973 in Cardiff, Wales but was brought up in Manchester and at the age of 14 signed for Manchester United starting his illustrious career.

He has been in Manchester United's first team setup since 1991 and is 2nd in the all time most appearances for the club earning his right to be considered a true Manchester United legend.

His international career has been frustrating as he has never been able to play in a major competiton with Wales due to the limited amount of players available to the club. He announced his international retirement in May of 2007 and played his last game for Wales on June 2nd of that year.
