Lt. Harrelson and his men have been working around the clock on cases such as a food market heist and a kidnapping investigation, when journalist Meredith Cooper reports, with police department approval, to spend several days with the S.W.A.T. team. Lt. Harrelson: What?
Kay: Lawyers don't have trouble getting home on time.
Lt. Harrelson: Cleo on your back about that too?

Meredith Cooper: Are you chosen for S.W.A.T. because you're such crack shots? You all seem to be Annie Oakleys.
Street: I certainly hope not. Wasn't she a female?
Meredith Cooper: Ah yes, male chauvinism rears its ugly head, doesn't it? And where better than in the dinosaur corps.
Lt. Harrelson: Dinosaurs? Is that what you think we are?

Kay: It's not, it just seems that way.
Street: Something bothering you Miss Cooper?
Meredith Cooper: Ah, well, I though I was inured, you know, used to anything. But you're all so calm about these terrible things like they happen every day.
Luca: They do lady, they do.
Meredith Cooper: That man and wife yesterday, and now this high school girl. How do you get so used to them?
Lt. Harrelson: Anybody here used to them?

Meredith Cooper: As far is the police is concerned, I happen to think you're a necessary evil. Usually more evil than necessary.
Luca: Just because we enjoy beating up on blacks, Chicanos and foreigners? Kind of narrow minded isn't?
Kay: Besides we only beat on them every other Thursday and you know what, I'm in charge of hitting on blacks. Now if that isn't equal opportunity I don't know what is. (S.W.A.T. members laugh) edit »

Annie Oakley
Refers to the American sharpshooter and exhibition shooter. Annie (1860�1926) had spectacular talent, which led to a starring role in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show and which made her America's first female superstar. Reputedly, Annie could split a playing card edge-on from 90 feet using a .22 caliber rifle, then put five or six more holes in it before it reached the ground. edit »
