- (Luca, Street, McCabe and Kay are talking amongst themselves)
Luca: Listen to me please, for a second, all we have to do is tell him that it's a necessary piece of equipment for three reasons.
Street: OK. What's number one?
Luca: Alright, Let's see, number one, ah, steady your nerves. A policeman needs steady nerves, right?
(team agrees)
McCabe: What about number two?
Luca: Let's see, number two, physical therapy. Huh? (mumbling) What are you going to do, sit around and fills out forms and answer your phone all day?
Kay: OK, OK, number three?
Street: Ah, number three, number three, let's see, number three, coordination. Alright, hand to eye, the brain sharp, you know.
Lt. Harrelson: (overhearing the end of the conversation) Sounds great Luca, what are you talking about? Extra time at the pistol range?
Luca: Ah, no, no, not quite Lieutenant. Ah, wah, ah...
Lt. Harrelson: Yeah?
Luca: We want to know if we can put up a dart board in here.
( Lt. Harrelson looks at them, then the phone rings) edit » - Lt. Chew: Ah, Lieutenant, I think it would be a good idea if you wore civilian clothes tonight. A police uniform in a Chinese neighborhood stands out like a sweatshirt at the opera. edit »
- (after they find Mrs. Yang murdered and Lt. Chew takes out his frustration on some crates)
Lt. Harrelson: Hey Eddie, Eddie.
Lt. Chew: Yeah. Yeah, I know. How does a Chinese come by such a hot temper, huh? I didn't tell you, my mother was Irish! edit » - (after the shooter escapes)
Lt. Chew: A murderer who has darkness for an ally needs no other friend.
Lt. Harrelson: Confucius.
Lt. Chew: Chew. Even a little bit of moonlight and then I could have dropped him. edit » - Lt. Chew: 25 years on the force between the two of us and we've come up with this big plan: I flush him out and you catch him.
Lt. Harrelson: I like it. Few moving parts.

- Macau and independece from Portugal on January 1, 1976
Lieutenant Chew is speaking of the colony first settled by Portuguese traders in the 16th century. Although the Portuguese did redefine Macau as a "Chinese territory under Portuguese administration" in 1976, granting it a large measure of administrative, financial and economic autonomy, Macau was not granted independence. It remained under Portuguese administration until it was handed over to China on December 20, 1999. It will continue to enjoy a high degree of autonomy until at least 2049, as stipulated in the 1999 transfer declaration.
Macau lies on the western side of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Guangdong province in the north and facing the South China Sea in the east and south. edit »
