no, you got her confused with Valerie--she was the depressing one. I'm really surprised so many people like Valerie. Personally, I could never stand her. Her self-pitying and deprecating ways got tiring fast, and I agree with one poster that implied she never really seemed that loyal.
To me, nobody ever beat Jenny. She was all kinds of awesome. I love her type of characters in shows--intelligent, independent, and comfortable in their own 'oddball-ness'. I never understood why the writers thought replacing her with a girl that was her polar opposite in terms of personality would be appealing.
Anyway, I really wish the actress who played her had stayed--would have made the show that much better.
As for the rest of the choices, I had just about lost interest by the time the college years came around, so I didn't pay much attention to the friends afterwards. Though from what I've seen, they still came up short next to Jenny.
