Queen Beryl decides to bring Tuxedo Mask over to the side of the Negaverse, and to get his two Rainbow Crystals. Zoisite challenges him to a duel for the Crystals at Starlight Tower. Serena follows Darien to the tower. After being teleported in, Malachite takes the crystals. When Zoisite threatens their safety, Serena and Darien maybe forced to take drastic action.

the ep was great, the love song perfect for the moment, and truth being revealed: serena is the moon princess! and of course, another shocking revelation: You'd have thought that Serena was obsessed about every cute boy she sees, but you also find out that she is, indeed, in love w/ tuxedo mask.They also find out each other's secret identities! YAY! in other words: i love this episode! It has that ever-zesty blend of romance, action, adventure and drama. You gotta love that combonation, right? This episode practacally has that very combination in the story line!In all, it's a real tearjerker, suspenseful, and definitely has character development!

This was the greatest, and saddest episode I ever watched when I was a kid. Of course, I had a feeling Serena is the Moon Princess, but I had no idea Darian used to be a prince! I wonder how Serena felt when she found out Darian was really tuxedo mask (who she had a big crush on) the whole time. Anyway, I find the most dramatic scene was when Serena and Darian were trapped in the elevator and Zyoazite blasted a gust of fire to terminate them, even though it was against Queen Beryl's orders. I thought it was so melancholy when Darian/Tuxedo Mask got hot by one of Zyoazite's ice spears from behind and Serena finally realized she loves Darian. *Starts to shed a tear*.

This is probably one of my favourite (if not THE favourite) episode of the first season.
I loved the whole scene in the elevator with Serena and Darien- for once he is actually nice to her, and as a bonus we get to find out a little about his past.
The reason that I think it is such a good episode is because Serean and Darien (Sailor Moon/Tuxedo Mask) find out who they really are, only to be seperated when Queen Beryl takes Darien over to the side of the Negaverse.
The 'My Only Love' song just made the whole scene sad- I swear i had at least one tear falling downn my face.
Absolutely awesome episode!
This is one of my favorate episodes because this is when a lot of things start to come together and both Serena and Darren are at their best. When Serena follows Darien due to noticing his injury both of course get captured and are going up a long elevator ride together. It's sort of that sittuation of getting stuck with someone of the opposite sex, that was the last thing both of them wanted with each other, yet strangely both of them actually enjoy each others company, as if it feels natural and right. We discover a lot of things, from Tuxcedo Mask's real motives to obtaining the crystals which were to remember who he is as well as his past. It really puts Daren in a soulful light because we see that he's been alone most of his life as well as his connection with the moon princess. And of course when the sittuation starts to get bad, both of course reveal their heroic identities to one another and save each other.
I thought that was great and of course gets at part of the theme about how the one we truly love is always close we just need to learn to see. Both characters have that classic hate to love reltaionship, never got along with one another because they misunderstood one another, they way they constantly argued with each other was always a mask, underneath whether they knew it or not both probably had some sort of feelings for one another, the problem was they never really had a conversation together or didn't know the right way to act on those feelings. But you could tell from both of them for some reason always bumping into one another as if subconciously they wanted to connect as well as if you ever looked in their eyes a hint of attraction in the heat of the arguements. But also about ideal idenity, how deep down even though it's not seen visible, there is always a wonderful person deep down inside that exists, just waiting to come out and it does at the right time in this episode.
I'll admit it was really heartbreaking when we saw Serena break down in emotion as she witnessed, Darren getting backstabed by Zoicite. And of course at that moment we see her begin to transform into the Moon Princess, which was just a great moment. I always knew Serena was the Moon Princess, but then again I think almost every viewer knew, from Darren's dreams as well as the title itself Moon, it's pritty obvious but problem was all of us didn't have enough concrete proof to back it up. So I thought it was a sense of relief and a real blast seeing that the most unlikely person in the world would be the Moon Princess identity, but then again isn't that true of all of us.

They had just met Sailor Venus, who saved them in a battle with Zoisite and Malikite. The scouts agree to meet the next day at Rei's temple. The next day Serena is rushing to the Temple because she's late, when she sees Darien making his way somewhere. She slaps him on the back (hard) saying there was a bee on his back. He winces in pain from the wound from the last battle. He says he appreciated it and called her meatballhead. she tells him to not call her meatballhead anymore and he agrees. He walks away and Serena notices some blood on her hand, the same one as the one that hit Darien's back. She realizes that he was hurt badly and decided to follow him, which wasn't a good idea seeing that Darien (aka Tuxedo mask) was going to a challenged duel by Zoisite.
Meanwhile the other scouts had just met mina (aka sailor Venus) and were starting to worry about serena. Mina says that they should head for the starlight tower because she walked by there and got bad vibes.
Anyway, Darien was walking through the park, serena following him, when everything turned red. Serena and Darien were transported to the starlight tower.
A little while later, Zoisite lures them into the elevator where they are trapped and tries to kill them by burning the cable that makes the elevator move. Serena is forced to transform in front of Darien. She saves them and finds out moments later that Darien is Tuxedo mask, her dream hunk. Zoisite makes a crystal hit Tuxedo mask. Serena starts crying and makes all the rainbow crystals come together into the imperium silver crystal. The crystal attaches itself to the cresent moon wand, and serena stands up and transforms into the moon princess. The episode ends with serena thinking "Me, Serena, a princess... Now this is way past wierd."
