    Quintessential Simon hide show

If I were to pick a prototype episode for the entire Saint series it would be "Interlude In Venice". Here you have Simon cutting back and forth between an Italian palazzo converted into a casino and the wine cellar of a Venice villa. From bright glittering roulette halls to dark cobwebby cellars. Nothing epitomizes Simon's character and adventures more!

And of course there is the inevitable plot twist. Nothing and nobody is ever what they seem in The Saint. And "Interlude in Venice" does not disappoint on this note either. Good guys are often worse than the bad guys. And Simon treats even his most vicious enemies with style, while preserving the dignity and memory of their loved ones.
