Sanzo and Gojyo walk trough the forest on the mountain. Eventually Gojyo asks Sanzo if he has any idea where they’re going. Sanzo says that he has no clue and advises Gojyo use his antennae to find a way out. Taking offence at his hair being called antennae, Gojyo yells that Sanzo is the one with the demon radar.
Sanzo agrees that walking around in circles wont help anyone and decides that they should think a bit. They list down all they know. Gojyo tells Sanzo that his knowledge on the subject is negligible. All he knows is that the kid hates them and has a brother. Then he remembers on of Ginka’s comments one of having a god follow him around.
Elsewhere Goku and Hakkai come to. With no idea about where they are, the look around and conclude that it isn’t either heaven, as it is way too gloomy, nor hell as it is too cool. Goku firmly states they are not dead. The reason for this declaration? The dead aren’t hungry.
Hakkai agrees that they are not dead, and are probably out cold. In coalition to this, Gojyo and Sanzo are probably waiting for them to get up so that they can kick their butts. Then a number of faceless purple things come out of the ground and attack them.
Gojyo and Sanzo wonder about the ‘God’ that Ginka spoke of. Gojyo realizes they are being watched. This time it is by Gyomoas assassins. They blame each other for leading the demons here, but kill their adversaries nonetheless.
Goku and Hakkai are also locked in battle, but theirs seams more one sided as the purple things just keep on coming. Hakkai suggest a battle plan: they run. With no idea about where they are running to they flee. Hakkai reassures Goku by saying that the other two will save them or rather might save them or better yet would be nice if they save them. Goku complements Hakkai on his battle plan and continues to run.
At the forest, Sanzo loads his gun. Only one demon remains, and Sanzo wants the honor of killing him. Gojyo buts in saying he wants the last one. Sanzo informs him that he has not right to it as he did all the work. Gojyo disagrees saying Sanzo only shot in random shots. Sanzo retorts by saying Gojyo only leapt about. The demon takes this opportunity to carry Sanzo off a cliff.
In the other place Goku has a bad feeling, when asked what about, answers that he doesn’t know. Goku panics, as he fears prolonged increment in this place could be dangerous. Hakkai tells him to calm down. Goku seams upset by this criticism, but admits being okay with it.
Then a quake shakes the earth around them. A giant Cyclops like creature climbs out of the earth. After realizing that his attacks have no affect on it Goku despairs. Hakkai reassures him and tells him that he’ll take care of it. Advising Goku to step back in case his plan backfiring cause his life. Hakkai begins removing his earrings. As he does so, he changes. Though we don’t see his face, Demon Hakkai stands before Goku. With the ears, nails markings to boot.
At the cliff, Gojyo’s well-timed throw saves Sanzo from falling. Though not yet out of danger, Gojyo harkens as Sanzo’s descent has been stopped. To begin with Sanzo gets rid of some excess weight by killing the demon that still holds on to him.
Exhausted after a Herculean effort Sanzo is back on safe ground. Sanzo and Gojyo relax for a while. Gojyo sprawled out on the ground, completely exhausted tells Sanzo he helped him out of obligation, not friendship. After a few insults, Sanzo gives the near dead Gojyo a cigarette. As he gets up, the kid’s tentacles catch Sanzo.
In the other place, the Cyclops falls. Hakkai gets up, putting on his limiters. Disappointed that no escape route came into existence, Hakkai notices Goku’s quivering form. Goku declare that he prefers this Hakkai to the other one. As the look around, the see a kid lying towards them. The boy looks like Ginka.
