Lamont and Rollo are out on the town one evening and decide to stop in at a new bar for a couple drinks. However, they soon realize they have stumbled into a gay bar. Unknown to them, Bubba just happened to see them go inside. Bubba promptly jumps to conclusions and then proceeds to tell Fred that Lamont is gay. Not believing Bubba's story, Fred decides to get to the bottom of the situation.

This episode is based on Ron Clark's unsuccessful stage play, "Norman ... Is That You?" about a man who finds out that his son is gay and tries to "straighten him out". Three years after this episode first aired Redd Foxx starred in the film version which also featured an appearance by Allan Drake who played Rodney Victor.

Fred (about to enter a gay bar with Bubba): Now listen Bubba, when we get in there don't smile at nobody. I mean don't smile at NO-BODY!

Bubba (about to enter a gay bar with Fred): I feel kinda weird.
Fred: Well, that won't mean nothing in there Bubba. (edit) Fred (suspecting Rollo and Lamont are gay): Why are you always hanging around with my son?
Rollo: Lamont? He's my man!
Fred: Your man?
Rollo: Yeah he's my man, my main man!
Fred: Your main man? (edit) Fred: Elizabeth, if you're looking down on all this, Honey, don't look. (edit)
Fred: Well, that won't mean nothing in there Bubba. (edit) Fred (suspecting Rollo and Lamont are gay): Why are you always hanging around with my son?
Rollo: Lamont? He's my man!
Fred: Your man?
